Dream Cellular,
LLC's engineered substrates can be as little as 25% the mass
of monolithic optics, yet they are stiffer than their monolithic
counterparts. Mechanical requirements of an optical system originate
at the primary mirror. A reduction of this optic's mass, while
also increasing its stiffness, has a domino affect on the rest
of the components and of the entire system. A reduction at each
of these areas greatly reduces the thermal footprint and mass
of an entire facility and, when intelligently designed and executed,
will produce superior images at the focal plane.
